Paragon

OUR DIVISIONS

New demand for environmental sustainability in business requires new responses to the way they operate.

Paragon Textiles is actively tackling textile recycling in new and innovative ways. Our solutions are exhibited through our multiple divisions. Each branch under Paragon Textiles is an answer to recycling needs at every level. From the individual to the corporation, we’ve established creative avenues to divert shoes and clothing away from landfills.

Since 1992, we have been recycling over 10 millions lbs+/year of thrift store discards and diverting them away from landfills. We sort, pack and ship container loads of good quality second hand clothing and shoes to developing nations in Latin America and Africa who simply cannot afford new clothing. It’s also a great way to support thousands of micro entrepreneurs who resell these clothes and support their families, 95% of them being women.

Since 2012, TFC has helped thousands of organizations across USA like schools, clubs, churches etc, raise funds for their program, through a shoe drive. Our partners collect shoes from their friends, family and community members, and we pay them for what they collect. So far, we have helped raise $4 million + for over 4,000 organizations and our goal is to double this figure in the next few years.

Since 2007, LA Vintage has been supplying vintage clothing, shoes and accessories to hundreds of vintage clothing stores, designers, stylists and other wholesalers in bulk throughout the world. We are always actively looking to partner with retailers to expand their sustainability initiatives and create more slow fashion and upcycling/rework programs.

OUR OPERATIONS

All of our divisions operate out of our warehouse in Los Angeles, California.

Whether you’re looking to liquidate overstock, raise funds by recycling used shoes, or expand your second hand inventory – our company has a solution to your recycling needs.

Our LA Warehouse is over 40,000 square feet, with over 80 employees churning out more than 10 millions pounds of textiles a year. Every single item that enters our warehouse is reviewed by hand. This sorting process allows us to ensure that nothing is left to waste, and no trash is negligently sent to our partners in developing countries. Every article serves a purpose: 70% of product is cleaned and sent to developing countries as wearable clothing, 25% is beyond repair as turned into rags used by other vendors, 4% is sent to a partner in India where the product is de-threaded and refashioned into sweaters and blankets, and only 1% of product is unusable and would be considered trash.
